Depression

Depression is a common yet serious mood disorder that affects how you feel, think, and function in your daily life. It is more than just feeling sad; it can involve changes in brain chemistry and presents differently for each individual.

Several factors can trigger depression, including life changes, stress, trauma, certain medical conditions, or a family history of the disorder. Regardless of the cause, depression is a real condition, and it is treatable.

Common symptoms of depression may include:

  • Persistent sadness, emptiness, or anxiety

  • Feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, or worthlessness

  • Irritability or low energy

  • Physical aches and pains

  • Changes in sleep patterns or appetite

  • Loss of interest in activities that were once enjoyable

There's no one-size-fits-all approach to treating depression. I customize therapy to help you identify negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and reconnect with a more balanced and fulfilling life.
